Why
we started Pedi-Q Urgent Care
Many parents are faced with a difficult choice when it comes to urgent and after hours care for their children.
Should they go to the emergency room and wait hours to see a pediatric trained provider or go to a “chain” urgent care facility and take their chances that the provider on call has experience with young children? After hearing the stories of less that satisfied parents, a local pediatrician decided that the time was right to open an urgent care facility that only caters to the pediatric population.
Services we provide
Injuries
Basic wound repair including use of glue, staples, and stitches. Splinting and temporary casting. Tick removal.
Acute Illness
Fever evaluations, ear infections, sore throats, sinus infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, asthma exacerbations, allergic reactions
X-ray (Not On Site)
While we don't have x-ray on site, we are always happy to evaluate your child, provide any necessary medical equipment and send you with an order to receive an outpatient x-ray.
Lab services
We perform many rapid tests in-house (strep, flu, COVID-19 Antigen, mono, RSV) and also utilize outside reference laboratories when needed
